Q5 Systems Ltd.Consultant / Systems Architect
Q5 Systems is a local St. John's company making audit and inspection software, that has a very impressive customer list for its existing Q5AIMS system. Sean was contracted to lead the development of a new product for safety management in the aviation industry. The aviation safety management system is a key component of Q5's corporate strategy. Initially this contract primarily leveraged Sean's experience in project management, business analysis and software architecture. Sean also acted as an advisor with respect to business decisions such as in- versus out-sourcing, and managing the architecture in such a way as to maximize its alignment with the company's ongoing development plan. A prototype implementation of hazard/incident management was built in to the existing Q5AIMS software, and plans were laid for development of more comprehensive functionality in the future. |
